Our Instructors |
Tricia A. Burke, Director/Instructor Through the course of her dance career, Tricia studied and instructed at many studios throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Colorado, gaining much knowledge and experience as a teacher of all ages and abilities. Tricia attended Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, MA as a dance major. At NECC, she was President of the Still Point Dance Company, organizing performances and choreographing for the Company and the Dance Club. While in school, Tricia organized, initiated and instructed the Children’s Summerdance Program at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA. In 1998, Tricia realized her dreams of owning her own dance studio. That year, she founded Adagio Dance Academy and has since watched it grow into the successful studio that it is today.Tricia’s vision is to bring the joy of dance and love of music to all of her students, as well as instill in them confidence, poise, discipline and responsibility. She watches her students grow year after year and is proud of the well-rounded individuals and dancers that they become. |
Tina Cassidy, Instructor Tina Cassidy has an MFA from the Boston Conservatory. She trained with the Lake Erie Ballet School. Ms. Cassidy danced professionally with the Boston Dance Company, The Boston Conservatory, Indianapolis Ballet Theatre, Indianapolis Dance Company, the Lake Erie Ballet and Northern Ballet Theatre. She has been an instructor at Northern Ballet Theatre for 11 years. This is Tina's second year here at Adagio! |
Brianne Perdue, Instructor Brianne grew up dancing and teaching in her mother’s dance studio: Suzanne Perdue Dance Center, in Framingham, MA. She has been a finalist and winner of numerous scholarships from many dance competitions and conventions. Brianne has performed in Break the Floor’s off-Broadway show “Shake n Break” and has danced and worked with well known choreographers such as Dan Karaty, of So You Think You Can Dance. Brianne is a graduate of Dean College in Franklin, MA, and is entering her fifth year teaching at Adagio. |

Suzanne Perdue, Instructor Suzanne danced professionally in Boston, NYC and LA. She attended Pierce College and was Director of Suzanne Perdue's DANCERS EDGE (formerly Suzanne Perdue Dance Center) for 17 years in MA where her students won many dance titles, regional and national scholarships, appeared on Off-Broadway and graced the Broadway stage. Suzanne was selected and designated as a Hometown Hero by Metrowest Daily News covering over 30 cities for her work with special needs children at her studio. In addition to teaching, she also adjudicates dance competitions and is in demand as a workshop/master teacher at dance intensives throughout the U.S. and Canada. This is Suzanne's third year at Adagio! |
Kristen Romano, Instructor Kristen is entering her fifth year at Adagio! She attended Rivier College, and was a member of their Dance Team. Kristen has instructed young children at White Birch Community Center's summer dance program, and was the Dance Director and teacher at Diamond Cheer & Dance Training Center. Kristen continuously strives to be the improve her teaching skills, by attending workshops such as the Dance Teacher Summer Conference last summer in New York City, where she enriched her teaching skills by studying under master teachers such as Finis Jhung, Bob Rizzo, Greg Russell, Judy Rice and David Howard. Kristen most recently instituted a dance program at the New Boston Community Center, and is starting her third year as the director and instructor. |
